Peter Atsu Adaletey is an Interdisciplinary Teaching Artist and Performer with over twenty years of experience in Creative Writing, Acting, Dance Composition, Poetry, and Directing.
In 2022, Atsu was selected as a fully funded Presenter for the 6th International Teaching Artist Conference at Oslo, Norway 🇳🇴
It was a fulfilling moment facilitating a workshop on ARTS INTEGRATION during the parallel sessions because it has been his on-going campaign in Ghana.
Atsu also featured in his first in-person international project at Oslo.
“ALL THIS AND MORE" is a global participatory performance event that focuses on the problem that by 2050 there will be 1.5billion climate refugees seeking shelter in all our major cities.
Concept by Simon Sharkey of "The Necessary Space" Co-directed by Henriette Blakstadd and Claudia Lucacel for ITAC6. Produced by Seanse Art Center
The Ghana Education Service also acknowledged Atsu in one of the Creative Arts Text Books. This inspired Atsu to continue with his Arts in Education campaign in Ghana.
In 2020, Covid-19 denied the International Teaching Artist Collaborative (ITAC), from organising the usual in-person arts conference (International Teaching Artist Conference) which was going to be a great gathering at Seoul, South Korea). Persistent, ITAC 5 was organised online and Atsu was appointed as a Collective Room Leader.
In 2018, he was selected as a fully funded delegate for the International Teaching Artist Conference (held at New York, USA) organized by the International Teaching Artist Collaborative (ITAC).
Same year, he was appointed by the organizers of the Kampala International Theatre Festival as a Stage Manager for a UK based award-winning theatre company, Seemia Theatre but unfortunately, he couldn’t embrace those opportunities due to conflicting scenes.
Persistent and deeply dedicated to his passion, he was selected by ITAC as a Catalyst and became the Manager of ITAC Ghana. Atsu has extensively extended teaching artistry to schools, churches and art organizations in communities across Ghana.
In 2018, he worked with Zoey Martinson (an award-winning writer, director; a film maker with octopus-wing background) as the First Assistant Director and Casting Director for Zoey Martinson’s award-winning international short film THE FISHERMAN which starred Emmanuel France, Nollywood’s International veteran actor.
