MEET PETER ATSU ADALETEY, A TEACHING ARTIST — ITAC CATALYST
Profile/Experience:
Atsu Adaletey is a Teaching Artist, Writer, Actor, Dancer/Choreographer, Spoken Word Artist, Creative Director, Talent Coach and a Stand-Up Comedian.
He is a pioneer student of Winfield College of Theatre Arts, Radio, Film and Television and a product of the University of Education, School of Creative Arts, Dept. of Theatre Arts, Winneba.
Atsu is a co-founder of Bright Future Drama Club (Keta Senior High School — 1997), Bright Future Arts Foundation (Accra, 1998) and founder/Creative Director of Dzolali Theatre House (Accra, 2017).
His journey in showbiz begun at the National Theatre of Ghana in 1995. Having discovered his firm position in the performing arts in 1998, he featured in theatrical productions, corporate and volunteer events at the National Theatre of Ghana, Centre for National Culture (Cape Coast), W.E.B. Du Bois Centre, The National Council for Arts and Culture (Abuja, Nigeria) with support from Mr. Muhammad Sulaiman and Margaret John.
His persistence won him an international position as a Catalyst for the International Teaching Artist Collaborative; an opportunity which sparked up from the 4th International Teaching Artist Conference organised at New York, U.S.A. He was also selected for the position of a Stage Manager for a UK Award-Winning Theatre (Seemia Theatre) in the 2018 Kampala International Theatre Festival.

In 2020, he was selected among some resourceful Teaching Artists across the world as a Collective Room Leader at the 5th International Teaching Artist Conference (ITAC 5, Seoul — South Korea).
He has featured in NAFTI Students Films, GTV Home Sweet Home TV Series, TV3 Music Music, TV3 MTN FUSION with Abeiku Santana, KSM’S TGIF Show (Metro TV among other screen projects). He has produced outreach and talent-coaching projects across the country and still scouting and nurturing talents. Using his God-given talents to empower and transform lives has always been his genuine and burning desire.
Impact
As a Teaching Artist/Event Consultant, Atsu has worked with Mother’s Nest Montessori School, New Haven Montessori School, Glow lamp International School, Springland International School, Babybliss Montessori School, 31st December Women’s Movement School, Perez Chapel, Holy Apostolic Reformed Church, Bible Chapel International, Christ Apostlic Church, Community Arts Troupes and many other Arts organisations and educational institutions across the country.
Atsu works with children from Kindergarten level to Adults and holds art workshops.
